WOMEN LEAD
WOMEN LEAD LLC
was founded to prepare women for solid career advancement and the assumption of
leadership positions. Its President, Anne Dewey-Balzhiser, is herself a
successful executive who has a wealth of experience with workplace issues. She
has experience coaching executives as well as counseling individual clients on
effective career transition strategies, including mothers re-entering the
workforce.
Career Counseling
Ø Are you stuck in your job and don’t know where to go?
Ø Have you learned all you can from this job and are ready for
your next challenge?
Ø Have your colleagues moved up into the management ranks and
you’re still at the bottom rung?
Ø Do you wonder whether your applications for managerial
training help you to stand out from the competition?
Women Lead career counseling will help jump start your career. Through
one-on-one sessions, Women Lead will conduct a “needs assessment” to help
you to: review your experience (at work and through volunteering); assess your
skills and strengths; and explore job possibilities. You will receive a written
report laying out your short-term and long-term goals and specifying next steps
to take, which may include: revising your resume; creating a job application
package; developing a job search strategy; and practicing your interviewing
techniques. Women Lead provides you with customized advice and training
targeted to your situation.
Women Lead can also review your executive program
application and provide targeted advice on improving your chances of selection.
Whether you are considering changing jobs or are competing for executive-level
training, Women Lead can help. Please contact us for further details.
Transition
Counseling
Ø
Have you lost interest in your
job at mid-life and are considering a change?
Ø Do you wonder whether to continue working until you qualify
for retirement or strike out in a new direction?
Ø How do pay for your children’s college educations if you
change careers now?
Many of us have pondered these very questions. Women Lead
will help you to systematically explore: your experience (at work and through
volunteering); your skills and strengths; and your future work plans (exploring
your highest aspirations and factoring in your family responsibilities). We will
then brainstorm future career possibilities. You will receive a written report
laying out your short-term and long-term goals and specifying next steps to
take, which may include: revising your resume; creating a job application
package; developing a job search strategy; and practicing your interviewing
techniques. Women Lead provides you with customized, one-on-one
transition planning and can assist you in implementing your plan.
Moms
Re-entering the Workforce
Ø
Are you a stay at home mom
who’s ready to re-enter the workforce but wonders whether the workplace is ready
for you?
Ø Has a recent divorce or change in family finances disrupted
your plans to stay at home, leaving you unprepared for a career shift?
Ø Do you cringe when you consider how much you do at home and
wonder how you’ll ever fit in the full-time job that your family’s lifestyle
needs?
Women Lead provides individualized career counseling with
special packages for moms re-entering the workforce, helping you to: assess your
skills, accomplishments and experiences to catalog those learned in the
workplace, acquired while managing your household, and gained through your
volunteer efforts; reformat your resume so that it no longer screams “Mommy
track”;
tailor
your application to specific job openings; develop a job search strategy;
launch
creative job searches; prepare for unwelcome interview questions; and
successfully negotiate your salary and benefits package.
Through
personalized coaching sessions, you will learn to approach potential employers
with regained confidence. Contact us for further information.
Trust me – most of us women have faced career challenges and nagging
questions about achieving work-life balance. Do something about it today.
